Customer Letters

Captain,
I just got home from vacation and wanted to let you know how much my
group enjoyed fishing with you. Besides us letting so many fish off
we thought the day was perfect. We thank you for hooking us up with
some of the greatest fishing action we have ever experienced. Hope
the rest of your season goes well. I am sending along some of our
pictures just in case you may want to use them.

John I really enjoyed the
fishing trip on your boat. I had never enjoyed it that much before.
looking forward to another trip. Maybe the big salmon will not kick
my butt next time !

Hi Capt John,
Just wanted to report that my guys, Bob, Scott, Chris, and Mike had a
wonderful time fishing with you on your Charter Cruise! They haven't
stopped talking about it and are planning another one for this fall
at St. Joseph, Mich.
They probaly already discussed that with you. It was a birthday
present for Bob from our three sons. They have been taliing about
doing this for years and finally did it. So Thank You for giving
them the time of their lives. They all really
needed that bonding.
Scott said that you took a picture of them. Yes, we would love to
have copies!
Will you be putting it on your web site too? They are anxious to see
it. Chris will be returning to Florida on Tuesday, but I will send
it to him.
I can't wait to eat the fish! I love to watch fishing shows and
watch the fishermen in Ludington when they fish off shore and on the
channel going up to the dam. When the boys were little, they got a
kick out of having the fisherman stand their big samon next to them
and see how big they were. That was a real treat. I'm a
photographer, so I enjoy taking pictures of them. I'm a rotten
fisherman as I can't stand to bait the hook. Smile I get to excited
and would probably fall off the boat. Smile So I'll leave the
fishing to the guys!
Thank You Again,
Millie & Bob

Captain John,
You certainly did yourself proud last Saturday! Mark and I had a
supertrip. Your ability to adapt to the conditions and fish
movements was spectacular. The fact that the weather turned around
so nicely after a cold/wet start was a bonus.
I expect you'll get a couple of new customers out of the deal, too.
Mark is a very successful businessman (in the product design field),
and he's now "hooked." He told me he can't wait to fish with you
again, possibly with a couple of his customers, or maybe up in
Manistee with me in August for a "tuna" search and destroy mission.
A couple of guys who ride the commuter train with Mark and me every
morning were so impressed
with the pictures we showed them (especially the one of the bigger
of the two lakers we released) that they asked for your name and
contact information, I told him to call you ASAP, since you'll be
off to Lake Erie before long, and there aren't many open dates left
for St. Joseph 2006.
I called "farmer Brad" and his son Brent, and had them check out the
two pictures taken during our trip posted on your site. They called
me back right away, full of questions about how we found the "huge"
kings, and whether I thought some of them (or their friends) might
still be lurking around St. Joseph the second weekend in May. I told
them I'm sure there will be some king "action," and they're chompin'
at the bit - especially Brent.
The fillets were delicious - my son and I had huge (about 20 oz.)
pieces of King cooked on the grill Sunday afternoon, and then I
fried up those very small fillets for my wife when she returned from
out of town on Monday evening. She devoured them! Everyone in my
neighborhood was grilling fish Sunday and Monday, so you helped me
make a lot of enthusiastic fish-eaters very happy, John. Thanks
again for the great day!
Best Regards, Mac McCaleb

Capt. John,
Had a great time fishing with you and appreciated all the hard work
you put in to catch us some fish. We had a great time and will talk
about it for years I am sure. Lake Michigan and your boat was a
thrill. Thanks again for the right fit with the crew and fisherman.

John,
Hello,
I am e-mailing you from work you can mail the photos here. I have
posted your flier on the bullitin board and I have made a few copies
for a few people here so good luck and hopefully you get more trips
lined up.
Thank you again it was a great Sunday. Corey & Dillon have done
nothing but talk about being able to go next year. Blaze my brother
enjoyed fishing as well he wants my dad to go next year. It was a
great experience for them and myself. Thank you again.

I've been on many guided trips over the years. You operate a very
professional boat, and your concern for and insistence on boat safety
and attention to conditions is refreshing and appreciated. I would be
pleased to offer my recommendation on your behalf.
Look forward to seeing you again.

John
Just wanted to shoot you a quick
email and thank you again for one of my all time favorite fishing
experiences. Everything from the company to the weather to the 8 pounder
that I was able to bring into the boat was perfect and that combo
doesn't happen often. I would love to Salmon fish with you this fall
when you get your charter business going. You can count on me to be one
of Michigan Sport-fishing's first paying customers.

Jeff and I would like to thank you
for taking us out and crewing this weekend. We reflected as we drove home
about this weekend and really appreciated the time you spent with us.
Just getting to see how you set-up your boat and watching how adjusted
things as you watched the graph was great. Call me anytime you need a
hand on the boat or when your down this way. Thanks again

My name is Michael Keating, Capt.
of the Hammer time fishing team and in 2002 I spent several hours fishing
with john Milbourne on my boat and his and know he is a very confident and
experienced boater and fisherman out on the big lake. He has a good solid
head on his shoulders and always seems to be able make the right decisions
while out on the water. I would feel very confident to have him on board
in event that something happened to me out on the water because I know him
well enough to be able to handle things and get me back to shore to safety
and due what-ever was necessary to ensure my safety and anyone else in the
fishing party.

John and I had met and became
friends through our wives. They work together and while doing so discussed
our mutual interests in fishing. During the season of 2002 I had the
opportunity to spend several days on the lake Michigan with john fishing
aboard his 24 foot trophy out of Manistee.
After spending time on the water
with John, it is in my opinion that he is extremely skilled and competent
in the operation or a water craft on the great lakes. He is very
knowledgeable about its operation and capabilities as well as the effects
weather and water conditions contribute to its safe operation. Before
spending time aboard "second wind" with John I was aware that my safety
would be placed primarily in his hands. I would do so again with out
hesitation.
In addition to competency and
knowledge, John demonstrated courtesy toward operators of other vessels,
especially in high traffic areas. To the best of my knowledge and
understanding, John adhered at all times to navigational regulations.
Although I have years of fishing
experience and own a bass boat, I did not have the experience or
skills in fishing big waters. I can say that John has been willing to help
build my own skill level by showing respect, giving careful instructions,
and encouragement when we fish together.

John,
Scott & I want to thank you again for the fishing trip on
Saturday in Lake Erie. Catching Walleye was an experience I will
never forget. You did an excellent job with handling the
boat, keeping track of the numerous lines, dealing with the other
boaters, dealing with a couple of motion sick people, and still
having fun! I know we did!!!
Hope you had a good day on Sunday. Hope you didn't get caught in
the storm out there!!
Thanks again.

John
I just wanted to say thanks again for taking Bud Miller and I on
one of most fun fishing outings ever. Catching an 8 1/2 pound
walleye with you was great and all last summer but yesterday I
felt like I had hooked a freight train every time we hooked up on
a king Salmon. You are truely and pro, have a great attitude, and
make it fun! Oh yeah and catching our limit of 10-18 pounders by
9:30 in the morning made for a pretty good day too. If people are
not booking you for trips they don't know what they are missing.
THANKS
Jamie McKibbin and Bud Miller
