Here at Michigan Sport Fishing Company we are dedicated to offering affordable fishing trips on Lake Michigan without sacrificing the quality of our service. 80 percent of our clients book Lake Michigan fishing trips as repeat customers.

Reservations are always on a first come, first served basis. To ensure the date of your choice, book early. During peak season available dates are hard to come by. At certain times, I’m often booked a year in advance. Due to the uncertainty of weather, I recommend a 2 or 3 day trip if you are coming from outside of Michigan.

If you have questions or concerns about the quality of your trip, please direct them to the owner of the company, he is the guy driving the boat.

Payment Options.

We now offer 2 different payment types, online booking and traditional booking options.

Online booking – you click the book now button, pick trip type and your date, pay for your trip and you are done. Do note for this option you have to pay in full at booking and there will be a 6% booking fee through Fare harbor applied at check out.

Traditional booking – You pick your day and call the Captain. A 25% deposit will be billed to your credit card and the balance will be due before boat leaves the dock the day of your trip, which can be in the form of cash or credit card. Cash is always preferred, but we are happy to accept Visa and MasterCard with a 4% convenience fee for balances paid by credit card.

Cancellation Policy.

Cancellations must be at least 14 days in advance to refund your deposit. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice willed be billed for the balance of the trip unless another party books your date.

Cancellations due to foul weather are at the discretion of the Captain. If your trip is cancelled due to bad weather your deposit will be forwarded to your choice of available dates or refunded.

Gratuities.

Our Mates work hard ensure you have a great day on the water, please remember them if you feel they did a good job. The average tip for the crew is 20%.

Additional Information.

Start times vary with the season, I may adjust start times to accommodate daylight hours.
If you have a large group or I am booked for your day, I can help you find a boat to fish aboard.
If you would like to fish a port at a time when my boat is elsewhere, give me a call and I can help put a trip together for you.
